Goshen withdrawn from Unibet Elite Hurdle due to ground
Trainer Gary Moore has withdrawn fancied runner Goshen from the Unibet Elite Hurdle (3.35) at Wincanton due to the quick ground.
The five-year-old, who was available at 5-2 generally behind two-time winner Sceau Royal, has produced his best runs on soft ground. The going at the track was described as good on the hurdles track.
Sole Pretender was backed into 9-2 (from 9) for the race before Goshen's withdrawal. He won the Grimes Hurdle on his penultimate start for trainer Normal Lee and will be ridden by Harry Cobden.
There have been a spate of non-runners due to the conditions. Highland Hunter, who was available at around 5-1, and Truckers Lodge are notable non-runners for the 60th Badger Beer Handicap Chase (3.00), for which the market is headed by Cap Du Nord.
Saturday's race previews:
2.15 Aintree: 'He's perfect for the track' - Maxwell excited by Cat Tiger ride in Grand Sefton
2.40 Doncaster: will First Light give the Gosdens another November Handicap as Flat season ends?
3.35 Wincanton: versatile Sceau Royal looks very much the one to beat in Elite Hurdle
