When Nationals are on, no matter what time of year or what country, you can guarantee that Gordon Elliott will be represented and he fires two bullets at the Ulster National.

Elliott's sole success in the biggest race of the year at Downpatrick arrived in 2015 when he sent out Riverside City to score and he looks to have two live contenders on this occasions.

Out Sam has been a bitter disappointment since joining Elliott but the application of a visor and the services of Davy Russell might help him to recapture his impressive back form.

Also on the Elliott team is Poormans Hill who has been rejuvenated since joining his Longwood stable and is out to add win number eight to his ever-growing CV.

Elliott said: "Out Sam has not shown much since he arrived here and has been disappointing as a whole. We are trying him in a visor in the hope that it will wake him up a bit. He was a good horse once upon a time and it would be great if he could find that form from somewhere.

"Poormans Hill has been a great servant for us this year and won a lot of races. He seems in great form at home and should relish the trip. He stays all day and should enjoy the test."

Like Elliott, Noel Meade is also doubly-represented with Wounded Warrior and Tulsa Jack.

Wounded Warrior looked to have bounced back to form when chasing home Monbeg Notorious in the Thyestes Chase at Gowran Park but has been disappointing since.

There would be no more deserving winner than Undressed from the Michael Hourigan stable who has been runner-up on his last two outings at Wexford and Thurles.
