Ruby Walsh back in business with two rides at Limerick

Ruby Walsh, out of action since suffering badly bruised ribs and vertebrae in a fall at Killarney in August, returns to action with two rides over hurdles for Willie Mullins at Limerick on Sunday.

The 12-time Irish champion jockey, who enjoyed a day out at Newmarket on Saturday, resumes on Getareason in the Listed Dunraven Hotel Adare Novice Hurdle (1.50).

He also partners recent Gowran Park winner Good Thyne Tara in the Maurice Power Solicitors Mares Hurdle (3.00), another Listed event.

"I had a lot of bruising to my ribs and vertebrae in my back and was in a brace for a few weeks," said Walsh. "I'm looking forward to getting back.

"The season is only just starting really but I've missed plenty of winners and it's much better to be riding than watching."

Quick return for Abbaye fifth

Lost Treasure, who belied his 100-1 odds in the Group 1 Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp a week ago when flying home for fifth place, drops to Listed level in the Waterford Testimonial Stakes (2.40) at Navan.

A three-time winner, the son of War Front faces 13 rivals, and his trainer Aidan O'Brien said: "Lost Treasure was slowly away in France and made up a lot of ground.

"It was a very good run and although it was only a week ago he seems to have taken the race well."

Lost Treasure's rival include stablemate St Patrick's Day, a brother to US Triple Crown hero American Pharoah. He has yet to win for Ballydoyle but came closest to victory on his most recent start when beaten half a length in the Group 3 Renaissance Stakes at Naas two weeks ago.

Ayr Silver Cup winner Snazzy Jazzy, who landed a valuable prize at the Curragh last season, represents Lambourn trainer Clive Cox.

Johnston raider

Accordance, winner of a Goodwood maiden and runner-up in the Group 3 Prestige Stakes at that same track, represents Middleham trainer Mark Johnston in the Listed Staffordstown Stud Stakes (3.50) at Navan.

Ronan Whelan is booked to ride the filly, whose owner-breeder Kirsten Rausing sponsors the race.

Accordance faces eight rivals, including the Aidan O'Brien-trained trio Peach Tree, the mount of Donnacha O'Brien, Coral Beach and Credenza, both of whom won at Cork four days ago.
