From the guttural grandstand roar that greeted the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle start to the overwhelming outpouring of emotion that cascaded down on Honeysuckle and Rachael Blackmore to the pantomime Cross Country climax, the 2022 Cheltenham Festival has provided reassuring proof that Prestbury Park needs the crowds as much as the crowds need Prestbury Park.
