Music Box makes a quick reappearance here three days after finishing sixth when slowly away in a Group 3 event over seven furlongs at Fairyhouse.
The Ballydoyle filly, who faces seven rivals in the most valuable race on the card, made late headway to finish three and a quarter lengths behind the winner, Realtra in the Brownstown Stakes and had been unlucky in running on her previous start when making her handicap debut at the Curragh.
The daughter of Invincible Spirit is chasing a second win and trainer Aidan O'Brien said yesterday: "Music Box came out of Wednesday's race well. You never know when you run a horse back so soon, but she seems in good form and we think she has the pace for the shorter trip." Donnacha O'Brien rides her for the first time.
Another making a quick return to action is the Mark Fahey-trained Oneoveryou, a dual winner over the minimum trip and who was third over that distance at Bellewstown on Thursday.
Last-time-out winners include the Eddie Lynam-trained Miss Power, winner of three of her last four starts, all of them over 5f, the Billy Fitzpatrick-trained Dandys Gold, twice a winner over 7f, and Little Clarinet, a winner over the distance at Leopardstown on her most recent start.David Marnane, trainer of Little Clarinet, said: "She came out of her Leopardstown win very well. She's progressive and we're looking forward to seeing her perform in what is a better race."
A course-and-distance winner of a maiden in May, the Willie McCreery-trained Virtudes is visored for the first time for her handicap debut.
Art Nouvelle, trained by Joseph O'Brien, will be attempting to improve on recent efforts while the Michael Halford-trained Golden Pearl completes the field of eight.
