Queen Mary fourth Now You're Talking seeking first win

Now You’re Talking is the only maiden in the six-runner line-up for Thursday's Coolmore Pride Of Dubai Tipperary Stakes (6.50) but the Joseph O’Brien-trained filly boasts arguably the best form in the Listed sprint having finished fourth in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot on her most recent start.

The daughter of Zoffany will be making her fourth appearance and her second over this 5f trip in a race that also features stablemate Lynn’s Memory, a winner over the distance at Bath last month.

O'Brien said on Wednesday: "We think Now You're Talking has come out of Ascot well. The track, trip and ground will suit so we're hoping for a good run.

"Lynn's Memory is a big filly who we also think will be suited by the track, distance and ground. We're hoping she might earn some black type."

Rivals to O’Brien's pair include Actress, trained by his father Aidan, Johnny Murtagh’s Wolfofbaggotstreet, a winner over the trip at Down Royal last month, and the Dermot Weld-trained India Rain, a short-head scorer over the same distance on her debut at Cork last month.

Actress, sixth in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, won her maiden over the minimum at the Curragh, and O'Brien snr said: “She's been very consistent. She ran well at Ascot and dropping back in distance shouldn’t be a problem."

7.20 Tipperary

Also on this mixed card, Ivan Grozny, an 11-length winner of the Kevin McManus Bookmaker Grimes Hurdle a year ago, represents Willie Mullins in the same Grade 3 event (7.20), in which he is joined by stablemate Clondaw Warrior, last year’s Galway Hurdle hero.

Ruby Walsh has opted for Ivan Grozny, who also landed a Grade 2 contest over course and distance last October, with David Mullins partnering Clondaw Warrior for the first time.

Ireland's champion jumps trainer said: “Ivan Grozny's in good form and we know he likes the track and trip. Let’s hope he’s in the same sort of form he was in when he won the race last year.

“Clondaw Warrior is also in good order but he’s been to the US since he last ran over hurdles and I’m not sure the track will play to his strengths.”

Plinth, whose eight wins over hurdles include a Grade 2 event over course and distance, represents Joseph O'Brien, who said: "It looks very competitive but he's on good form and should run well."

The seven-year-old is one of four runners in the race for owner JP McManus, the others being Minella Foru, Kitten Rock and Thomas Edison.
