Handicap plunge: Cape Byron slashed into 4-1 to win the Wokingham
Marie's Diamond 10-1 (from 20)
Jersey Stakes (3.05)
Punters just can't get enough of Frankie Dettori this week and another one of his rides has been backed with Marie's Diamond shortening up for the Jersey Stakes.
The Mark Johnston-trained colt has a length and three quarters to find with favourite Space Blues from their clash in the Surrey Stakes at Epsom, but that was a career-best display and he has claims of being involved in the shake-up.
Blue Point 7-4 (from 9-4)
Diamond Jubilee Stakes (4.20)
Blue Point aims to become the first horse since Choisir in 2003 to complete the big sprint double at Royal Ascot in the same year and the market has confidence in him succeeding.
He steps up a furlong from his King's Stand win on Tuesday and has a quick turnaround to deal with. However, he has winning form at the trip and, perhaps more crucially, he's an Ascot specialist with overall form figures at the track of 13111.
Cape Byron 4-1 (from 7)
Wokingham Stakes (5.00)
Cape Byron is fancied to follow up his recent Victoria Cup victory at the track in the Wokingham Stakes for Roger Varian, who won yesterday's Albany Stakes with Daahyeh.
His five previous visits to Ascot have yielded two wins and a second and although he drops back to 6f for the first time, he is guaranteed a strong pace to run at and relishes the demands of the famous straight course.
