Plenty to play for as ITV pushes the boat out and Derby hero Adayar reappears

The rain has finally arrived for most of the country and the leaves are on the turn, but there is plenty of mileage in the Flat season yet.

You only have to cast your eye over Thursday's schedule for evidence of that, as midweek racing fans are spoiled with a double hit of terrestrial action taking in Doncaster, Epsom and Southwell.

ITV Racing is producing two separate programmes covering a grand total of 13 races, starting with the 1.25 at Doncaster and going all the way through to the 8.45 at Southwell and serving as a reminder of the vital importance of the broadcaster to the sport.
