One key runner in each of the seven ITV4 races on Sunday

Chacun Pour Soi
1.10 Leopardstown
Paddy's Rewards Club Chase (Grade 1), 2m1f

Star chaser Chacun Pour Soi is odds-on to gain a second victory of the season in this top-level contest.

The Willie Mullins-trained eight-year-old defeated Min at this track in the Dublin Chase in February. Notebook and Put The Kettle On are his main rivals this time around.

Ladbrokes Wayward Lad Novices' Chase (Grade 2), 2m

A huge day for Nicky Henderson kicks into top gear with his ante-post Arkle favourite Shishkin, who makes his second start over fences having debuted in imperious fashion at this track a month ago.

The Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner is expected to have little trouble following up, but Henderson will know there are no guarantees in racing having seen Epatante turned over at odds of 1-5 in the Christmas Hurdle here on Saturday.

Gumball, who was in charge before falling two out in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham in November, provides the sternest opposition.

Ballyadam
1.45 Leopardstown
Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle (Grade 1), 2m

Ballyadam is one of many potential stars for Gordon Elliott and owners Cheveley Park Stud and he bids for back-to-back Grade 1 wins in this novice hurdle.

He landed the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse last month and will be better suited by a more even pace. Champion Bumper second Appreciate It narrowly heads the betting.

First Flow
2.10 Wetherby
William Hill Castleford Handicap Chase, 1m7f

The omission of fences and testing ground are big positives for the chances of First Flow in the feature race at Wetherby.

First Flow, trained by Kim Bailey, is not the most fluent jumper but that did not stop him posting a career-best when successful at Ascot on his reappearance.

Altior
2.30 Kempton
Ladbrokes Desert Orchid Chase (Grade 2), 2m

A lot of pressure rests on the shoulders of Altior, who makes his long-awaited return to action. If he performs anywhere close to his scintillating best then he should have no problem reclaiming this Grade 2 contest which he also won in 2018.

The dual Champion Chase winner has been scratched from his last two engagements at the eleventh hour and must prove Nicky Henderson's decision to withdraw him from the Tingle Creek at Sandown and angle him here instead was the right one.

There has been a lot of talking in the racing world since then, but now is the time for Altior to have his say and prove whether he remains the one to beat over two miles.

The absence of Arkle winner Put The Kettle On due to coronavirus restrictions has reduced his competition, but Duc Des Genievres, Sceau Royal and Rouge Vif help make up an interesting field.

Lock's Corner
2.55 Leopardstown
Paddy Power Chase (Extended Handicap Chase, Grade B), 3m

This horse is the sole British-trained runner at Leopardstown's Christmas festival after he made the trip to Ireland before the travel ban was enforced.

The Jonjo O'Neill-trained six-year-old, who is ridden by Mark Walsh, has a progressive profile and has been backed into favouritism for this competitive handicap chase.

Cap Du Nord
3.05 Kempton
Ladbrokes Committed To Safer Gambling Handicap Chase, 3m

Christian Williams, the winning trainer of last year's Welsh Grand National with Potters Corner, may not have any runners on this year's card at Chepstow, but he does have a leading chance with Cap Du Nord in the final ITV4 race of the day at Kempton.

The seven-year-old produced a career-best performance at Newbury last time when comfortably beating Canelo, who went on to land Grade 3 honours in the Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase at Wetherby on Saturday.

Cap Du Nord carries much less weight here than his market rivals and should enjoy the Kempton ground.
