One key runner for each of the six ITV races from Newcastle and Newbury
Tea Clipper
1.50 Newbury
Get Your Ladbrokes £1 Free Bet Today Handicap Hurdle, 2m4½f
This has been a useful staging post for Graded performers, with classy winners including Old Guard, Champ and The Cashel Man.
The Tom Lacey-trained Tea Clipper looks a smart prospect, having won four of his five starts, and was an impressive winner of the Silver Trophy at Chepstow last time. He has to shoulder a 7lb hike in the weights but he could defy that under Johnny Burke.
2.05 Newcastle
Betfair Fighting Fifth Hurdle (Grade 1), 2m
Aidan Coleman will be reunited with Epatante, who begins her long road back to her defence of the Cheltenham Hurdle. Her success in the race last season capped off an incredible unbeaten campaign.
Her task here is not straightforward with classy Sceau Royal and Silver Streak also lining up so she will have to be at her best.
Marie's Rock
2.25 Newbury
Ladbrokes Committed To Safer Gambling Intermediate Hurdle (Listed), 2m½f
Nicky Henderson sent out Epatante in this race last season and it will be fascinating to see how the unbeaten Marie's Rock compares.
Middleham Park's classy five-year-old has won her three starts and bids to continue her climb up the hurdling ranks but Thyme White and Botox Has will make this a feverishly competitive comeback.
3.00 Newbury
Ladbrokes Trophy (Grade 3 handicap), 3m2f
Paul Nicholls has not won this prestigious handicap since Denman won it for a second time in 2009 but in Secret Investor the 11-time champion trainer appears to have a lively outsider.
The eight-year-old won by seven lengths at Chepstow last time and was raised 9lb. He was a good second in the Denman Chase on his sole run here and all his best form has come on this ground.
3.15 Newcastle
Betfair Exchange Rehearsal Handicap Chase (Listed), 2m7½f
The Henry Daly-trained Whatmore continues to run well without winning. Fourth at the Cheltenham Festival and then second at Ascot, the eight-year-old should be well suited to this track.
3.35 Newbury

The Philip Hobbs-trained Zanza is still an unknown quantity over fences and makes plenty of appeal in this handicap. He stepped forward from a good debut over fences to chase home Allmankind at Warwick and he has been found a good opportunity. Three of his best four runs have been at Newbury and he's well handicapped.
