Let’s start with a hard one: who wins the Betfair Hurdle?

Tom Collins, tipster I like the Willie Mullins-trained Ciel De Neige. He was heavily punted for the Boodles last March on his first start for the trainer and ran a screamer to finish third. He caught the eye again behind improving stablemate Janidil on his return from a break before finishing an unlucky second last time in testing conditions. He is surely better than his rating of 135 and good ground is a huge plus.

Noel Fehily, former jockey I like the look of Not So Sleepy. He’s unexposed, I was really impressed with his win at Ascot and he has a good trainer in Hughie Morrison who is more than capable of getting one ready for a race like this. He’s also got one of the best young jockeys around riding him in Johnny Burke. He looks like he’s got a good racing brain on him, so that’s going to help.

Niall Hannity, broadcaster I’m a big fan of Not So Sleepy. The handicapper has had a swipe after he won at Ascot but I think he’s a good horse and I could see him running well in a wide-open Champion Hurdle. He’s got loads of natural ability. I’d say another one who could go well at a massive price is Whoshotthesheriff.
