MICHAEL HALFORD fields a five-strong challenge in an attempt to land this valuable handicap for the third time. Successful with Quinmaster in 2006 and Hujaylea in 2010, Halford is represented by Hasanour, a three-time course and distance winner who finished third in this race two years ago, Eastern Rules, Wychwood Warrior, Cailin Mor and Galway winner Katiymann, who will be making his handicap debut on only his third start.

Only one British-trained horse - Cherrypicker in 1929 - has won the race and Instant Attraction, who heads the weights, Boomshackerlacker and Dream Walker will be attempting to bridge that gap.
