Paul Nicholls seeks his fifth victory in ten runnings of the Persian War Novices' Hurdle today with a pair of up and coming hurdlers who have had a perfect build-up to a race the stable captured with Silviniaco Conti.

Three-time winner El Bandit and Baghad Bihoue, who has ran up a four-timer, are unbeaten this season and with just 1lb between them on ratings they could be hard to separate. Sam Twiston-Davies has won on both but picked El Bandit with Nick Scholfield on Baghad Bihoue.
