Mount of Jonjo O'Neill jnr shortened into 9-1 for Ascot handicap hurdle
Captain Drake 11-2 (from 7-1)
2.25 Ascot
Harry Fry's runner put in a career-best when winning at Exeter last month and is fancied to maintain his improvement in this competitive Ascot handicap. He faces a 13lb hike from the handicapper but he cannot be ruled out after that emphatic success last month.
Emitom 2-1 (from 3-1)
2.05 Haydock
Warren Greatrex's runner is attracting plenty of interest now tested on heavy ground. He was a top novice hurdler last season, winning three times before finishing behind Champ at Aintree. He disappointed last time out but has the potential to bounce back in this wide-open Unibet Rendlesham Hurdle.
Myplaceatmidnight 9-1 (from 12-1)
3.00 Ascot
Jonjo O'Neill jnr has a 25 per cent strike-rate when riding for Neil King and that record could be enhanced by this smart handicap hurdler. The eight-year-old finished second to Limited Reserve at Taunton on his latest outing – and that rival went on to land a big pot at Sandown next time – so looks well treated now raised only 2lb.
