Misterioso out to build on Ascot win before heading to Goodwood

Since being snapped up for just 15,000gns at the sales last October, Misterioso made his first downpayment on that purchase price when scoring in eyecatching fashion at Ascot this month and connections are hopeful he can use this contest as a springboard to Goodwood next week.

Although the Jamie Osborne-trained four-year-old might miss the cut for the Qatar Stewards' Cup at the festival a week on Saturday he should make the field for consolation race – the Qatar Stewards' Sprint Handicap – which is due to be run as the first race on the card on the same day.
