Ten Up Novice Chase (Grade 2) | 3m | ATR

No trainer has managed to win as many renewals of a race named after 1974 RSA Chase and 1975 Gold Cup winner Ten Up than Willie Mullins, who has five in the bag and is represented by Haymount and Bellow Mome here.

Anibale Fly blotted his copybook when pulling up in the Feltham at Kempton but bounced back to score nicely at Naas over this trip last month and sets a high standard.

Fellow JP McManus-owned Edwulf has had his jumping issues but the form of his beginners' chase win at Punchestown in January received a nice boost at Gowran Park on Saturday when runner-up Bachasson won easily.

Acapella Bourgeois is likely to make a bold bid from the front while Gigginstown House Stud - chasing a third straight win in the race - are represented by Road To Respect and Stone Hard.

What they say

Tony Martin, trainer of Anibale Fly
You'd have to have been pleased with how he and A Genie In Abottle pulled away from a decent field at Naas last time and we think he's improved again. I see no reason as to why we can’t expect another good show.

Sandra Hughes, trainer of Acapella Bourgeois
He's a stayer and has a lovely staying pedigree. For the whole of his career he's liked to get on with things and race prominently, and we were thrilled with how he got the job done here last time. He'll love the step up to three miles and will handle the ground.

Joseph O'Brien, trainer of Edwulf
His form got a bit of a boost when Bachasson, whom he beat at Punchestown last month, won nicely at Gowran. He'll like the step up in trip and the ground.

Gordon Elliott, trainer of Jetstream Jack and Stone Hard
Jetstream Jack will love the ground but this is a strong race and if he was placed I'd be happy. Stone Hard will appreciate the step up in trip and he’s also in good form.

Bryan Cooper, rider of Road To Respect
I think the step up to three miles will suit him well. If you look back through his form he's been performing quite well behind some very good horses. I'd like to think he has a decent each-way chance at least.
