Latest updates on day two of the 2019 Grand National meeting at Aintree
Day two of the 2019 Grand National meeting is ladies' day around the racecourse, but on the track it is mainly men's work as Politologue, Min and Waiting Patiently contest the feature Melling Chase, rebranded as the JLT Chase this year.
The late lunchtime kick-off of 1.45 means racing fans and punters have seven hours of action to look forward to today.
It is slightly incongruous that Leicester hosts a Flat meeting but it includes another two-year-old race with a runner trained by Archie Watson, who has already unveiled two eyecatching young fillies on the all-weather.
Sedgefield and Wexford add more jumping interest before Wolverhampton and Dundalk turn on the lights to end play.
