Ladies' race is here to stay despite the Haydock clash

Like London buses, one race for professional and amateur lady riders follows another today with Ayr staging the second running of its own event a shade over three hours after Haydock host theirs for the first time.

Ayr's ladies' night begins with the 1m 'pro-am', which although worth only £4,000 has attracted nine runners, two more than Haydock's £20,000 1m3f handicap.
