Key details and expert advice for all the action on BetVictor Gold Cup day
With the core jumps season starting to turn up a notch, another day of action-packed racing awaits with the second day of Cheltenham's November meeting the premier act.
The BetVictor Gold Cup (2.25) headlines the card and has long maintained its status as one of the most competitive early season handicaps. High-class second-season chasers Mister Whitaker and Rather Be renew rivalry and have shown an aptitude for the track, fighting out the Close Brothers Novices' Handicap Chase at the Festival in March.
Attention reverts to the Flat twenty minutes later, where the Listed Betway Churchill Stakes (2.45) at Lingfield has attracted a useful field. The William Haggas-trained Addeybb was sent off a 15-2 shot in the QEII Stakes last month and must take plenty of beating down in grade.
There has been an accident on the M5 on Saturday morning and Cheltenham (@CheltenhamRaces) has tweeted: "Traffic Update: If you are coming from the North today, please be aware of the M5 road closure. Leave the motorway at Junction 9 (Tewkesbury)."
Keep an eye on Punchestown as well. The feature race at the Irish track is the Grade 2 Craddockstown Novice Chase (1.10), a contest won in 2015 by subsequent Gold Cup hero Sizing John. The remaining venues for racing on Saturday are Uttoxeter, Wetherby and evening action on Wolverhampton's Tapeta surface.

Final thought
For a horse rated 150 over fences, it is incredible that Mall Dini has yet to win a chase in the past two years. If fit for the task, Pat Kelly's eight-year-old surely has outstanding credentials in the 2m4f beginner's chase at Punchestown (12.35).
