Kevin Blake, Kieren Fallon and Keith Melrose join the Saturday jury
Tom Collins and Sky Bet's Stuart Jones also give their thoughts
Will Anthony Van Dyck confirm Epsom form?
Kevin Blake, broadcaster He may well do so, but I think there are very good reasons to think Broome and Madhmoon can improve on what they did at Epsom, so Anthony Van Dyck may well need to improve on his Epsom form to uphold superiority over them.
Tom Collins, tipster Anthony Van Dyck certainly has a good chance as he holds Madhmoon and Broome on Epsom form, but at the prices I would much rather back the latter, who should have further improvement in him over this trip. The downhill nature of Epsom didn’t suit Broome’s lazy, workmanlike racing style and he should feel much more at home at the Curragh.
Kieren Fallon, six-time champion jockey Seamie Heffernan rode Anthony Van Dyck at Epsom like a cyclist in a velodrome going from the top of the track to the bottom by using the camber to gain momentum. He wouldn’t have won any other way and a big galloping track like the Curragh will suit better. I was pleased as I tipped him up at Ed Chamberlin’s golf day as I liked him at Lingfield. I’d like to say Madhmoon was going to win for Kevin Prendergast but I can’t see it.
