'I've always thought he could be a top-class sprinter' - read our panel's views
Native Trail heads the 2,000 Guineas market. Are you with him or against him?
Oli Bell, ITV Racing He's going to be very hard to beat. I rate his stablemate Coroebus but I'm not sure he's good enough to beat Native Trail, who was exceptional during his juvenile campaign and was equally impressive when winning the Craven last time.
Jamie McBride, William Hill At the prices I'd rather be a layer than a backer. With solid-looking dangers like Luxembourg and unexposed exciting prospects like Eydon and Checkandchallenge in opposition, the favourite will have plenty on his plate.
David Redvers, Qatar Racing manager He looked a bit gormless in the Craven but then the penny dropped and it looked like the race will have brought him on perfectly – he has the same stall that Kameko won from in 2020. He’s very short in the betting, though, and a sporting each-way bet may be Dubawi Legend, who is drawn next to Native Trail and gave him something to think about in the Dewhurst.
