Raheen House has come in for sustained support for Saturday's Sky Bet Ebor Handicap and is now a best-priced 9-2 clear favourite (from 8-1) for the £1 million handicap.

All of his main rivals in the York feature have been easy to back, with King's Advice next best in the betting at 13-2.

Raheen House has been placed twice over the course and distance of the Ebor this term, including when finishing a close third behind the reopposing Red Verdon in the Group 3 Silver Cup Stakes.

The five-year-old, who will head to Australia for the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups, is bidding to give trainer William Haggas a first success in the Ebor.

Paul Binfield, spokesman for Paddy Power, said: "When we opened the market we went 25-1 about the horse, which seems fairly generous now as he's been really well backed. We were 7-1 overnight and he's in to 9-2 now, and the money we've seen indicates he will be very hard to keep out of the seven places."

Betfair's Barry Orr added: "The gamble on Raheen House was initially driven by price. He was an 8-1 chance but the fact he looks laid out for this race by connections has seen it snowball into a public gamble now with betting momentum having driven his price down to 9-2."
