'I'm all over Eklat De Rire, I thought he had a chance of beating Monkfish'
Warren Greatrex, James Burn and Frankie Foster give their views
It's Ladbrokes Trophy day at Newbury. Who wins the big one?
Mark Brown, analyst With the ground set to be no slower than good to soft I'm siding with Ontheropes. He has winning form in a big-field handicap this season, having scored in the Munster National on his reappearance. Enrilo has been trained for the race by Paul Nicholls and is greatly feared.
James Burn, Lambourn correspondent I was at Ascot just over a year ago when Demachine won and Kerry Lee was already talking about the Ladbrokes Trophy then. I'm a sucker for a trainer with a long-range plan and the seven-year-old, who should be able to hold a handy position, has a touch of class, might be nicely treated and I expect Lee to have him cherry ripe.
Frankie Foster, raceday presenter I’m all over Eklat De Rire. I thought he was travelling like a dream at the Cheltenham Festival last year behind Monkfish and had a fair chance of winning before unseating. He did everything right on his reappearance and I fancy the dream team of Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore to do the business again. At bigger prices I also give Brahma Bull an each-way chance.
