In an open year, who wins the Qipco 2,000 Guineas?

Tom Collins, Racing Post tipster I backed Chindit after his Champagne Stakes victory last September and, although he disappointed in the Dewhurst, my confidence was restored when he won with more in hand than the winning margin suggested in the Greenham two weeks ago. He’s a solid each-way bet. Mutasaabeq and Thunder Moon are the two I fear most for win purposes.

Martin Dixon, broadcasterThunder Moon will take a lot of beating, I don’t think it’s as open as people are suggesting. His National Stakes win is just about the best form in the race and his potential as a miler is significantly above anything else in the field – not many have the talent to win a Group 1 on their second start in the manner he did.

Kieren Fallon, six-time champion jockey There’s only horse for me and that’s One Ruler, who I ride out most days at Charlie Appleby’s. The feel he’s given me recently is such that I’ll be very disappointed if he gets beat. He’s had a racecourse gallop at the track and I have a lot of confidence in him. It was a tough call for William [Buick], who has picked Master Of The Seas, and I reckon Charlie holds all the aces in the race.
