'If you want to back a winner I can't see a more likely candidate'
Maddy Playle, Brendan Powell and Charlie Poste share their thoughts
The Tingle Creek is the Saturday highlight. Who wins the big one?
Marcus Buckland, analyst Nube Negra looked better than ever when winning the Shloer Chase at Cheltenham on his reappearance last month and he’s entitled to strip fitter for the run. However, he’d been heavily beaten by Chacun Pour Soi at the Punchestown festival in April and has it all to do to turn the tables. He is a three-time Grade 1 winner and while he lacks a recent run, he’s a brilliant jumper and will be in his element around Sandown.
Jamie Hart, Tote I’m desperate to find something to beat Chacun Pour Soi, but he looks value to me at odds-against. He has a 100 per cent record going right-handed, and loves to dictate to a small field. Nube Negra looked good at Cheltenham, but the conditions will suit Willie Mullins' runner and I expect him to win well.
Maddy Playle, journalistNube Negra. He surprised me with how well he jumped and picked up off the bridle at Cheltenham and this could set up nicely for him with Chacun Pour Soi and Captain Guinness likely to go forward.
