Hughie Morrison and Jason Weaver answer the key questions
David Baxter, Keith Melrose and Niall O'Reilly join them on the panel
The Lincoln Trial (1.35) is the big betting race. How do you see it?
David Baxter, reporter There are a lot of in-form runners for the Lincoln Trial, but I’d be willing to take a punt on Kasbaan returning to form. He ran over an inadequate 7f last time, and Listed company was a bit too hot the time before. Going back into handicap company and up in trip might lead to an improved effort for his shrewd connections.
Keith Melrose, betting editor We’re getting into the stage of the all-weather season where I would generally prefer turf form, but with that thin on the ground I’m well prepared to give another chance to Kasbaan. He was improving earlier in the winter and you can forgive his last two starts. His connections won this with Big Country a couple of years ago and he might just be cherry-ripe for this.
Hughie Morrison, trainer Fox Power looks like he’s been laid out for the race. He had a nice blowout last time to get him spot on for this and he’s clearly got plenty of ability too. He’s an improving four-year-old, he’s well drawn and he’s very likely to run well.
