Today is all about the annual 'The Horse Comes First' campaign with all four racecourses in Britain helping to highlight just how well-treated not to mention well-loved racehorses are during and after their racing days.

The always-appreciative Cheltenham crowd will be repaid with heart-pounding thrills covered by ITV cameras including the latest cross-country race.

Doncaster and Bangor complement today's jumping action while Chelmsford and Dundalk pick up the baton on the Flat under the floodlights.

Hard to believe that Cheltenham has been transformed from looking more like St Moritz just three days ago back to its green and pleasant land although it might have been fun if the groundstaff clearing the white stuff had been able to build snowmen around the cross-country course!
