Who is your idea of the winner in the Classic at Warwick?

David Bass, jockey Notachance has a great chance. He looks progressive and was really impressive on his comeback from an absence at Bangor in November. He’s had a nice break since then, so he’ll be fresh and should be tough to beat if handling the extreme trip.

Tom Collins, Racing Post tipster With Ballyoptic boasting a rating of 160, plenty in this field have light weights and a number will race from out of the handicap. Notachance, who carries 10st 5lb, is one of the main beneficiaries and appears well handicapped off a mark of 139. He took a big step forward when he ran out a decisive winner at Bangor in November and the longer trip should suit.

Andrew Griffiths, Betfred Captain Chaos caught the eye when the prices came out and hats off to anyone alert enough to snap up the 16-1 that was available in a place on Monday. With the headgear back on, he has a good chance of going one better than last year, but having said that you won’t find me in the queue to take him at short prices now.
