Cunco, well beaten in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes at the Newmarket July meeting, steps down in grade and up in distance as he returns from a break equipped with a hood for the first time.

The John Gosden-trained colt made headlines as the first winner by one of Frankel's offspring when he took a 6f maiden at Newbury in May, but he has been beaten twice since when third in the Listed Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot and fourth of nine, beaten six and a half lengths by winner Boynton, in the Superlative.
