As Cayenne Pepper goes to post as favourite for the Juddmonte Irish Oaks, it is tempting to wonder – in a parallel universe where there was no such thing as Jazz Princess or Jumbajukiba – how Jessica Harrington might be spending this particular Saturday evening.
Most likely mowing her lawn for the seventh time in five days, you would imagine; or clipping hedges; or deadheading flowers. She would be in her beloved garden, anyway, daydreaming about the depths of winter.
