Hannon chasing first Rose Bowl success with Natural

Richard Hannon bids to enhance his family's fine record in the Newbury feature with his filly Natural, after his father trained the winner of this race on no less than five occasions. She is looking to make amends here after a disappointing run at Royal Ascot.

However, she will have to overturn the form of that Ascot race with Madeline, who finished more than six lengths in front of the daughter of Kodiac in the Albany Stakes.

Of the colts, Another Batt brings the most experience to the race having run five times and winning on two of those occasions at Ayr and Ripon. He also ran at Royal Ascot when finishing eighth in the Windsor Castle Stakes.

Group race potential

Three of the last four winners have gone on to be successful in Group company (Miracle Of Medinah in 2013, Limato in 2014 and Tasleet in 2015).

George Scott has had three winners from six runners in the last 14 days and saddles Another Batt.

Course specialist

William Buick has an impressive 43 per cent strike-rate at Newbury this year and rides Way Of Wisdom.
