Group 2 winner Princess Yaiza bids to stamp her class on Noblesse Stakes field

Irish Stallion Farms EBF Noblesse Stakes (Listed) | 1m4f | 4yo+ | ITV4/RTV
Gavin Cromwell looks to have found a good opportunity for his Group 2 Prix de Royallieu winner Princess Yaiza should she still retain all of her old ability with the five-year-old at least 6lb clear of her rivals on ratings.
Connections would not have been disheartened by her return from almost 15 months off when second to Friday's Irish Lincolnshire hero Bowerman at Dundalk in January, having previously failed to make the track for trainer Christophe Clement when transferred to the US in 2018.
One contender on an upward curve is Paddy Twomey's Loveisthehigherlaw, who always had the makings of a better four-year-old. In fact, her dam Sweet Stream went from winning in handicap company at three to landing the Group 1 Prix Vermeille at four.
A winner of two of her three starts, the Team Valor-owned filly could be worth keeping on side this term.
Jessica Harrington's runaway Ulster Oaks Handicap heroine Camphor finished just in front of Loveisthehigherlaw when third in Listed company last October and makes plenty of appeal if arriving here at the top of her game.
The Ger Lyons-trained Heliac progressed nicely last term and did well to land a premier handicap at Dundalk last October off a mark of 86, and she is interesting here.
The Jack Davison-trained Fresnel was dependable last season and could play a part if again bringing her best, while Cerro Bayo and Lady Stormborn are unexposed and open to improvement.
Kiss For A Jewel, whose dam Sapphire landed this race in 2012, won't be inconvenienced by any rainfall and it will be interesting to see how the former Henri-Francois Devin-trained Mighty Blue fares on her first start for Joseph O'Brien.
What they say
Gavin Cromwell, trainer of Princess Yaiza
We were happy with her comeback run at Dundalk and she seems to be in good order. The trip and ground should be fine for her, she ideally likes nice ground and not any extremes. Off her mark she would look to have a live chance.
Paddy Twomey, trainer of Loveisthehigherlaw
This race came up at the right time and we're happy to begin her season here. She seems in good form. When she won at Cork last year the ground was good and I'd imagine it'll be good ground again on Sunday after the rain we've had.
Dermot Weld, trainer of Kiss For A Jewel
She's a nice filly who won twice for us last year. She seems in good form.
Jack Davison, trainer of Fresnel
She's done really well from three to four. She's bigger, stronger and training well. We're looking forward to seeing her run. She's an honest and professional filly.
Joseph O'Brien, trainer of Mighty Blue
She's settled in well since joining us and we like what we've seen from her so far. We're hoping for a good run but it will obviously be a bit of a fact-finding mission on her first start for us.
Jessica Harrington, trainer of Camphor
I'm delighted with her. She seems to have come on from last season and stays well.
