Since Ado McGuinness won the Colm Quinn BMW Mile for a third time in a row with Sirjack Thomas 12 months ago, he has gone on to conquer the world.

In October, the Dublin native plundered the Prix de l'Abbaye with A Case Of You, who then cemented his status as a globetrotting sprinter of real quality when doubling down in the Group 1 realm by snaring the Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan and a purse in excess of €750,000 in the process.

From humble origins, he has emerged as one of the most upwardly mobile trainers in the business over the past 20 years, veering increasingly to the more commercially viable Flat scene in recent times, like so many others. It is a policy that has reaped rich rewards.
