Grade 1 winner Al Boum Photo returns to action in Tramore's New Year's Day feature, in which he will be one of three Willie Mullins-trained runners having their first start of the season.
Ruby Walsh rides Al Boum Photo, who in his last start in April appeared to have Punchestown's Growise Champion Novice Chase at his mercy when Paul Townend mistakenly thought the last fence was being omitted and swung his mount right to avoid the fence and crashed out through the wing.
A 33-1 shot for the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the gelding is joined by stablemates Invitation Only, who unseated his rider after being hampered two out when in contention at Punchestown, and Total Recall, winner of the Munster National and the Ladbrokes Trophy last term.
Mullins, who has trained four of the last seven winners of the event, including Bachasson last season, said: "Al Boum Photo is in good shape. We've been waiting for soft ground to run him and conditions will suit.
"We had him, Total Recall and Invitation Only entered at Leopardstown last week, but we decided to wait until we got easy ground for all of them.
"We're happy with them but many of our horses have needed their first run this season, so we'll have to see how they go."
Gordon Elliott, twice successful with Roi Du Mee in 2013 and 2015, is represented by Alpha Des Obeaux, who ran second to Kemboy in the Clonmel Oil Chase in November before landing a three-runner event at Thurles a week later.
"Alpha Des Obeaux is in good form and the conditions of the race suit him quite well," Elliott said of Davy Russell's mount.
Valseur Lido, runner-up to Alpha Des Obeaux at Thurles but without a win since landing the Grade 1 JNwine.com Champion Chase at Down Royal in November 2016, and Sub Lieutenant, winner of the Grade 3 Irish Daily Star Chase at Punchestown in October, represent Henry de Bromhead, who landed this prize with Champagne West in 2017.
Completing the eight-runner field are the Liz Doyle-trained Last Goodbye, a dual chase winner, and Freeway Space, who will be making her first appearance since landing a beginners' chase by 21 lengths at Clonmel in February.
