Goddess bids to get back on track with Moore aboard in Kilboy Estate Stakes

Royal Ascot winner Move Swiftly would have been a short-priced favourite for this Group 2 but trainer William Haggas on Saturday night said the filly would not run.

Her absence, which was not officially confirmed on Saturday, throws this race wide open with only two of the seven remaining runners, Coral Beach and Normandel, having won at Pattern level.

Coral Beach, a Group 3 winner over 7f last season, is one of three runners for Aidan O'Brien, who has been successful in the event in three of the last four runnings, most recently with Magical last year.

Ryan Moore partners Goddess, who looked an exciting prospect when landing a maiden at Leopardstown by ten lengths a year ago.

However, she has failed to add to that success in three subsequent attempts, and O'Brien said: "Things didn't go to plan with Goddess after her win but she's in good form now.

"We've been happy with her since her last run at Naas and we think she is progressing slowly and nicely."

The Ballydoyle trainer added: "Coral Beach met trouble in running at Belmont Park on her most recent start, but we've been happy with her since she came home. Chablis is dropping back in trip and we think that might suit her."

Red Tea is the highest-rated runner on official figures with a mark of 107. The six-year-old is a seven-time winner and one from four since joining Joseph O'Brien this season.

Winner of a mile handicap here in May, and also Group 2-placed over that trip at the same track, Donnacha O'Brien's mount finished eighth in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot last month.

Her trainer said: "Red Tea is in good form and we're happy with her. We think going up a bit in trip will suit her."

Normandel, winner of the Group 3 Park Express Stakes at Naas on the opening day of the season, represents Jim Bolger, while the Fozzy Stack-trained Hand On Heart and Annie Fior, trained by Brendan Murphy, complete the line-up.
