Lingfield passes inspection as all-weather action comes to the rescue again
There will be no jumps racing in Britain for the third day in a row, although all-weather fans will not be complaining as they are certainly well catered for.
The best of Friday's racing comes from Lingfield. The Betway Condtions Stakes (3.25) looks a cracking five-runner contest and features popular eight-year-old Spark Plug. He is one of three rides for Oisin Murphy, winner of last year's Flat jockey of the Year at the Lesters, who rides in Britain for the first time this year.
Wolverhampton also stages racing in the afternoon, with Newcastle and Dundalk providing the evening action.
Wetherby's Saturday card has been cancelled but prospects are brighter at Sandown and Leopardstown. The final runners and riders will be revealed shortly before 11am on Friday.

Final thought
Fingers crossed an informative weekend of jumps action goes ahead. It would be a massive shame to see the stellar cards, particularly at Leopardstown, lost to the weather, but fortunately the outlook is positive.
