Full day of rain forecast for Sprint Cup card

The ground for today’s Group 1 32Red Sprint Cup fixture at Haydock is expected to ease from yesterday’s description of good, with a full day of rain forecast.

Clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright described good to soft conditions as inevitable in light of rainfall levels, which are expected to be at least double the 4mm predicted earlier in the week.

“We’re expecting significant rain tomorrow – between 8-10mm – and it’s going to fall all day,” Tellwright said yesterday.
