Frankie Dettori feels as strong as ever as he returns for his first ride of the season in Britain aboard short-priced favourite Global Giant in the Earl of Sefton Stakes.

The 50-year-old has been busy racing abroad over the winter and, after serving his quarantine period, has a leading chance to get off the mark in the bet365-sponsored Group 3 (3.00) at Newmarket.

"I had a great winter despite the pandemic," said Dettori, who won the Dubai Turf with Lord North last month. "I was able to ride in Dubai and had a good carnival out there with Saeed bin Suroor.
