The top hats are back in the cupboard and exchanged for the tweed and waterproofs as Ascot's jumps season commences on Saturday.

Staying handicap chases perhaps might not produce the magic of a Royal Ascot sprint, but remember nothing at this place is ever done without a distinct amount of class and that is even true for the opening day and its first race.
