Most riders here will be sitting on their mounts for the first time, and some will have no previous experience of riding in a 2m handicap at Ascot, so Joe Fanning’s familiarity with co-top weight Notarised and the racecourse could be a priceless advantage.
Fanning has ridden Notarised 14 times, winning on him at Goodwood and Chelmsford, and he is also a regular at Ascot, where the Johnston stable have plenty of runners in the good handicaps.
