There will be no jump racing on Thursday after meetings at Fakenham and Wincanton were cancelled on raceday morning due to frozen ground, with temperatures hitting -6C.

It could be a similar story on Friday with Catterick's card also cancelled and Chepstow due to inspect at 2pm on Thursday.

On Thursday morning Musselburgh's clerk of the course Harriet Graham said conditions were looking "very grim even with covers" ahead of Saturday's card. An inspection will take place at midday on Thursday.

However, there is all-weather action to look forward to at Southwell on Thursday afternoon and Newcastle in the evening, plus a classy afternoon card at Meydan.
