Fairyhouse's meeting on Tuesday has been called off after heavy rain left parts of the track waterlogged.

Persistent rain on Monday morning and afternoon totalled 30mm and, with further rain forecast overnight, officials decided to cancel the meeting on Monday afternoon.

The seven-race card was due to feature the reappearance of unbeaten hurdler Honeysuckle, whose four wins last season included a Grade 1 mares' novice event at Fairyhouse's Easter meeting.

The Henry de Bromhead-trained five-year-old, who won three times over the course last season, was to face five rivals in a 2m4f conditions hurdle in which she would have been taking on males for the first time.
