Expert Eyecatchers: three Saturday runners who catch the eye of our analysts
Racing Post analysts select an eyecatcher after every meeting and here we highlight a selection of Saturday runners who have been put up as horses to watch. . .
Morga
2.30 Wexford
Analyst note: Showed some of her old spark staying on late and could be returning to form
The Desmond McDonogh-trained Morga had disappointed in three previous runs before finishing an encouraging fifth in a Ballinrobe handicap hurdle earlier this month.
Third in a Listed Flat race at Galway last September, the nine-year-old has dropped to a mark of 125 over hurdles and is not without a chance at a big price.
Wait For Me
5.15 Sandown
Kept on well in a race that wasn't run to suit and could soon cash in off a good mark
Wait For Me has featured in many of the top handicap hurdles over the past few seasons and shaped as if his turn could be near at Ayr last time.
He is 6lb lower than when second in a Warwick handicap hurdle in May and will be suited by conditions at Sandown.
Sapa Inca
7.15 Doncaster
Probably should have won and looks set for a good season
Galileo filly Sapa Inca served up a career-best display on her seasonal return at Kempton and looked an unlucky loser behind Cafe Espresso.
The three-year-old made smart late headway on her first try at 1m4f and looks to have a golden chance off a 1lb higher mark with improvement likely.
