Expert eyecatchers: interesting runners identified by Racing Post analysts

Racing Post analysts select an eyecatcher after every meeting and here we highlight a selection of Saturday runners who have been put up as horses to watch

Saint Leo
1.25 Ayr

Analyst note: Was travelling strongly when he came down and is one to note next time

Saint Leo has been unfortunate recently, having come down at Ayr before losing a shoe when finishing sixth over hurdles at Kelso last time out.

A return to fences and Listed company suggests he's working well at home and could relish a return to the Scottish track.

Pearl Of The West
2.25 Ayr

Ran a cracker on return and should progress

After winning three of her final six races last year, Pearl Of The West continued her fine form when finishing second at 25-1 on the all-weather at Dundalk last month.

Now returning to hurdles, the five-year-old looks to build on that performance and remains open to improvement in this sphere.

Silk Cravat
3.25 Naas

Wasn't beaten far and is worth keeping on side

Silk Cravat was an unfortunate second when beaten a neck at Dundalk last month, when he appeared to improve for the drop back to sprinting. He is clearly in good heart and can run off a 3lb lower mark on turf.

Milton Road
5.55 Thirsk

Travelled strongly and is well treated

Milton Road ran on well inside the final furlong when third at Wolverhampton last time out and the wind operation he had last year looks to have done the trick. He is capable of cashing in on this lenient handicap mark.
