Expert advice and insight to help you find winners on Saturday
Can Sir Dancealot double up in the Hungerford Stakes?
Former jockey Fran Berry Sir Dancealot bounced right back to form at Goodwood, but the 3lb penalty he has to give here could be an issue, particularly with ease in the ground. Safe Voyage will be hard to beat getting the weight on ground that will suit. He only has half a length to find on Hey Gaman from the Curragh last time and I think the ground should swing it his way.
Redzone's Kane Calvin He recorded back-to-back wins when beating Hey Gaman in the Lennox Stakes, and of course he has chances of repeating that feat. But every drop of rain lessens his prospects of doing so and a 3lb penalty doesn’t help either. Safe Voyage looks the right favourite.
Racing Post tipster Tom Collins He has a very good chance. David Elsworth has had a tough year but Sir Dancealot is the shining light in his yard and he fairly bolted up in the Lennox Stakes last time out under Gerald Mosse. He holds Hey Gaman on that form and is the classiest runner in the race. The only nagging doubt is the ground, but hopefully he can overcome that.
