Emma Lavelle aiming to extend excellent record for owner Jacobs with Dissavril

Owner Paul Jacobs may be more readily associated with high-class Flat performer Limato but he has struck up a fine partnership with trainer Emma Lavelle this season, and the pair have a live contender with Dissavril.

Lavelle has sent out four winners from five runners for Jacobs this season, and Dissavril made a winning start for the yard when taking a Listed bumper at Market Rasen in January.

The mare looked a useful prospect that day, and Lavelle said: "I don't think she'll mind what the ground is. She was very good at Market Rasen and seems straightforward.

"She gives you all the signs she's a nice mare and we'd be hopeful she runs another good race."

Favourite is Getaway Katie Mai, who brings very strong form to the table. At Leopardstown in February she found only Relegate too good in a Grade 2, and that race worked out extremely well with the winner going on to claim the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham.

Trainer John Queally said: "She's well and I'm very happy with her. She ran very well at Leopardstown last time when second to Relegate, who went on to win the Cheltenham Festival bumper, so the form looks solid. I think she's progressed and that the track will suit her."

Alan King has won the race twice since its inception in 2005, and bids for a third success with Midnightreferendum.

"She has a great attitude and, although this is a big step up in class, she's a very straightforward individual. Win, lose or draw, she'll be put away after this and will be an exciting prospects for hurdling next season," the trainer said.

Like Dissavril, Duhallow Gesture won a Listed bumper last time out, making a successful debut for Anthony Honeyball, having been previously trained in Ireland.

"She'll be fine on the ground, stays well and we're very hopeful," the trainer said.

Several of the runners come into this race off the back of a debut victory, including Cedar Valley for Philip Hobbs.

The filly scored at Taunton last month, and Hobbs said:
"She did very well to win first time and seemed to cope with the heavy ground, so the ground shouldn't be a concern. Hopefully she's a nice filly who should have improved for her first run."
