Mille Et Mille returns to the fray in the Group 2 Prix Maurice de Nieuil (7.50pm), four weeks after a lung-bursting attempt to make all in the Ascot Gold Cup which ultimately resulted in a fine fourth place behind Order Of St George.

Both that run and his Group 1 success in the Prix du Cadran came at 2m4f but co-trainer Carlos Lerner does not foresee a problem with the drop back in trip to 1m6f.

“I was very happy with his performance at Ascot and he seems to have recovered well since, having worked very well,” said Lerner. “The distance should suit him fine since he likes to get on with it and he stays well.”
