Djakadam out to dethrone Don as we chase second Lexus
After many years trying we finally landed the Lexus Chase a year ago when Don Poli was successful and we're hoping Djakadam (3.00) will deliver for us when his rivals will include Don Poli, who isn't on our team any more.
Djakadam has been very consistent over fences, twice finishing second in the Cheltenham and Punchestown Gold Cups and twice landing the Grade 1 John Durkan Memorial Chase. He's been in good form since winning that race this month and, while I'd prefer it if the ground was a bit softer, we're expecting a very good run from him.
Vroum Vroum Mag lost her unbeaten record for us at Fairyhouse on her most recent start when losing out by a short head to Apple's Jade in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle. It was disappointing she was beaten but it was still a good performance and with that run behind her we're looking forward to a big run in the Grade 1 Squared Financial Christmas Hurdle (1.50). She's in terrific form and the three-mile trip should suit her well.
