De Bromhead hoping pair can challenge Briar Hill

With Three Stars and Attribution representing him, Henry de Bromhead provides the main opposition to Briar Hill in this four-runner event named after Arthur Moore's dual Cheltenham Festival winner of the 1990s, whose Arkle Trophy and Queen Mother Champion Chase triumphs were among his 21 career victories.

Three Stars, a Grade 3 winner at the course as a novice hurdler last season, is two from four over fences and has to concede 6lb to his rivals.

De Bromhead said on Friday: "Three Stars ran quite well when third at Cheltenham last time when he was hampered when another horse of ours, Some Plan, fell at the second-last. He seems in good form and it's the same story with Attribution who ran well when third to Identity Thief at Punchestown last time."

Grand National-winning rider David Mullins teams up with Three Stars for the first time while Bryan Cooper partners the Gigginstown-owned Attribution, a winner of a 2m beginners chase at Naas last month, for the first time over fences.

Briar Hill, a dual Grade 1 winner in 2013 when he landed the bumper at the Cheltenham Festival and a two-runner novice hurdle over 2m4f at Navan, made a delayed start over fences during the summer when he lost out narrowly at the Galway festival before winning over 2m4½f at Killarney in August.

He represents Willie Mullins who believes Navan's demanding track will help the eight-year-old over a distance which is short of the optimum trip for Ruby Walsh's mount.

Completing the quartet is the Jim Culloty-trained It Came To Pass who will be racing for the first time outside hunter chase company. The six-year-old, the mount of Paul Townend, won a point-to-point and a maiden hunter chase at Limerick last season and was travelling well in the Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham in March when falling three out.
