Could another chapter of the Creggs Pipes fairytale be written today? It took her seven attempts to win a race, she began 2016 rated just 77 and had never won anywhere other from Leopardstown but the four-year-old daughter of Rip Van Winkle arrives at Tipperary tonight chasing a fifth win on the trot..
Creegs Pipes has been one of the success stories of the summer so far. Her rating is now 108 following a pair of handicap wins over a mile at the Curragh and victory in a Listed contest at Killarney, but her finest hour arrived in the lucrative Topaz Mile at Galway last month when she made every yard of the running under Declan McDonogh.
